My “WHY”

Why am I a holistic nutritionist and life coach?

A number of reasons:

  1. I want to help people who are struggling to figure out what the heck healthful eating looks like.

  2. I LOVE nutrition and all things related to healthy, REAL living.

  3. I want to be part of the SOLUTION in changing the state of health in this country.

  4. Reframing my view of food and health changed my life and I want to share how I did this with others!

Ready to be one of those people?

WHat exactly is nutritional counseling?

I can teach you everything I know about food and nutrition while ditching the bad information about dieting and getting you on the path to eating and preparing REAL food.

WHat do you mean by life coach?

The biggest barriers to healthy living are not just time, money and energy. More often it has to do with accountability, emotional health and personal awareness and insight. I help people get out of their own way by showing them how their daily actions and beliefs are either helping or hindering their ability to achieve their goals.

Mission and Vision

The mission of REAL(est) Health is to help busy individuals, couples and families create lasting, positive health habits that become part of their daily lives, FOR GOOD.

This objective is met through in-depth assessment, individualized care, education and empowerment; with nutrition and stress management optimization being at the cornerstone.

My vision is that all individuals, couples and families who utilize REAL(est) Health take an active interest in their physical, spiritual, mental and social well being by engaged in health-promoting behaviors to be the best versions of themselves.

Core Values

  1. Inclusivity and non-judgement: all people deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of health status, gender, age, race, sexual orientation, or weight.

  2. Holistic based, client driven care: all aspects of the individual should be considered and the client ultimately makes all decisions regarding their own health and plan of care.

  3. Compassionate accountability: in helping clients of REAL(est) Health to be successful in reaching their goals, gentle accountability paired with compassionate positive-self talk can/will be part of the counseling services.

  4. REAL, whole, from the earth food: REAL(est) Health teaches a whole foods approach that includes organic, grass-fed, pasture raised, non-GMO, local, sustainable foods whenever possible.

  5. Food to support the whole person: food is not just for physical sustenance; our social/emotional connection with food is important and should be utilized to help support overall health and wellness goals.
